CFDI Version 4.0 Catalogs Update (09/03/2026)

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) updated the CFDI version 4.0 Catalogs file (Annex 20) on its official portal on September 3, 2026. This revision incorporates changes to product/service keys as well as adjustments to foreign trade and payroll catalogs.

The core updates of this revision are:

1. Product and Service Catalog (c_ClaveProdServ)

  • New Keys and Standardizations: Addition of new keys for consumer goods and specialized services, allowing more precise classification of commercial operations and intangible services.
  • Updated Expiration Dates: Adjustments to end-of-validity dates for obsolete or reclassified keys.

2. Customs Broker Licenses and Tariff Item Catalogs (c_PatenteAduanal / c_FraccionArancelaria)

  • Foreign Trade Adjustments: Updates to tariff items aligned with modifications to the LIGIE (General Import and Export Tax Law).
  • Foreign Trade Complement Validation: Refinements in error matrices for definitive export invoicing (A1).

3. Postal Codes and Neighborhoods Catalog (c_CodigoPostal / c_Colonia)

  • SEPOMEX Synchronization: Inclusion of new postal codes and updated time zone designations relevant to invoicing in border zones and local daylight saving adjustments.
